ETP4HPC webinar: SRA 6 – Storage and I/O / Programming Models

The ETP4HPC’s SRA6 which was released in December 2024 provided a set of key recommendations and R&I priorities in various HPC technical areas. This second webinar dedicated to SRA 6 focusses on our current R&I recommendations, perspectives and priorities in the area of HPC programming models, and, HPC Storage and I/O – which are two of the nine HPC research domains. Discussions will involve State of the Art, Upcoming Challanges, Post Exascale Vision along with the R&I recommendations. The White Papers corresponding to these discussions are available on the ETP4HPC website.

Speakers

Sai Narasimhamurthy, SRA leader at ETP4HPC

Philippe Deniel is a Research Engineer in CEA/DIF since 1998, where he was heading the Storage Systems lab from 2015 to 2023. This lab is in charge of managing the daily data production of both CEA/DIF data centers namely Tera and TGCC. Additionally to managing daily production, the lab is also actively developing Lustre and other open source software. Philippe is the original developer of NFS-Ganesha, an open-source NFS server in user space available under the terms of the LGPLv3.

Paul Carpenter is a senior researcher at BSC since 2011. His research interests include performance-portable parallel programming models and runtime systems.
