On 5 April, our four members of the EuroHPC RIAG (Research and Innovation Advisory Group) were joined by three observers, and our chair Jean-Pierre Panziera was elected chair of the RIAG. This is a very welcome recognition both of ETP4HPC’s role in European HPC and of Jean-Pierre’s efforts to promote European technology.
The three observers chosen by the steering board among the candidates proposed by our full members are:
- Hugo Falter (ParTec, Germany) is a well-known figure to our members since he is one of the co-founders of ETP4HPC
- Dr. Katerina Slaninová (IT4Innovations, Czech Republic), besides here role as Deputy head of Advanced Data Analysis and Simulations Lab, has a long experience of H2020 projects
- Isabella Weger is Deputy Director of Computing at ECMWF (UK), the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts
